Nicolette Hirt has traveled the world in pursuit of her show jumping career, working with some of the best names in the business, such as Dietmar Gugler, Will Simpson, Mandy Porter, John Roche, and David Powers.

Originally from Alamo, California, Nicolette has had a passion for horses from a young age. She began her riding career in Western Pleasure before transitioning into the hunter/jumper world at age 12 thanks to the help of Hillary Johnson. Training together for eight years, Nicolette built a strong foundation on the West Coast that she continues to maintain through helping to manage her family farm: Iron Horse Equestrian Center.

Nicolette made the decision to move to Europe in 2016 to further her training and show jumping career. Training in Germany with Dietmar Gugler and Elisabeth Meyer, Nicolette lived at the stable through her first year, often doing her own grooming before and during competitions in order to truly learn the ins and outs of horsemanship. Additionally, she quickly learned the competitive nature of show jumping throughout both National and FEI level shows throughout Europe.

In 2020, Nicolette made her first trip to the Winter Equestrian Festival, deciding to make Wellington, Florida another base for her team as she spends the rest of the year traveling from horse show to horse show.

Nicolette has competed internationally up to the CSI5* level throughout North America and across Europe, including at prominent horse shows such as the Winter Equestrian Festival and the Longines Deauville Classic, in addition to competing in multiple Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ qualifying classes. She concluded the 2019 competition year with a third place finish in the 1.55m U25 World Final European Youngster Cup, followed by top-twelve grand prix placings at the 2* and 3* levels. Throughout 2020 & 2021 she continued to gain experience in international competitions, including 7th place finish in her first ever CSI5* Grand Prix in Traverse City Michigan. Additionally, Nicolette was a key member of the Blazing 7’s team during the debut year of the Major League Show Jumping League.

As Nicolette continues to quickly climb the ranks in the U25 and international rankings, she has set her sights on one day representing the United States during team events as she continues to train and compete her string of horses, ranging from exciting grand prix prospects and young horses to experienced international horses.
